Curious George Not Gay

Hollywood, CA - In a statement, released through his publicist, legendary child-book star Curious George has stated that he is heterosexual and intends to stay that way. The terse statement, issued at a child-book convention, may be an attempt to dispel persistent rumors regarding his long-questioned gender preference. The reclusive George has been dogged for decades by reporters attempting to explain his "curious" lack of companionship throughout the years. "It is very unusual for a celebrity of George's stature to go this long without being seen in public with anyone," explains Carter Withers of the Daily Scoop. "In all cases, with the exception of his "gorilla" bodyguards, George shows up solo. I've personally, never seen him with any form of a date or companion," says Withers. "I think that has a lot to do with the persistent rumors that he is either gay or, at a minimum "curious".
