The first artist to sign with Scandalous Squirrel Productions was Country artist Lenny "Saddle Horn" Stubbs. Named for an adolescent accident, which allowed him to hit incredibly high notes for a man his size, Stubbs was a lean package with obvious appeal to the ladies. In a pattern, which would sadly repeat itself, tragedy struck Scandalous Squirrel Productions on the evening before "Saddle Horn" was to record his first album. It happened in a country line dancing accident, at The Trusty Steed Honky-Tonk outside of Laredo Texas. Reports were that the Lenny was crushed to death when the line did a "left kick, right kick, step back, step right" and Lenny did a "left kick, right kick, step back, step left".

It became clear, based on the extradition hearing, that "Juan" was, in fact, a "recovering" serial killer responsible for the murders of a dozen Chihuahua-smugglers across Mexico. The loss of his new headliner, and his huge signing bonus, left Milt without an act, nearly penniless … and another bout with Scurvy. Sure I ain't got nothing else to do, I'll keep reading
